Jahi

Director Youth Voice and Leadership & Kingmakers Music

Jahi is an international artist, educator and curator based in Oakland, California.

As a founding member of Kingmakers of Oakland, Jahi returns to run Kingmakers Music as well as Youth Voice and Leadership. As an educator, Jahi served as Program Manager for African American Male Achievement in the Oakland Unified School District, as well as mentoring Black youth in Oakland/Bay Area for two decades.
As an artist, Jahi has released numerous albums on independent and major labels, runs his own publishing company, has toured on 10 world tours, and  has countless performances all over the United States representing socially conscious Hip Hop. As a curator, Jahi has curated exhibits at the DeYoung Museum, the Oakland Museum of California, the Black Panther Party Museum, as well as traveling to 20 museums around the world presenting Hip Hop as a culture with life affirming principles.
Jahi is a father, enjoys playing chess and ornithology.
