In early November, CEO Chris Chatmon traveled to Boston to celebrate Ron Walker, longtime Executive Director at COSEBOC (Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color). After almost two decades he is retiring after being the organization’s servant leader.
Since 2008, the COSEBOC has established itself across the country as one of the foremost nonprofit organizations devoted to promoting equity and opportunity in schools and communities, particularly for boys and young men of color. Thay have earned a national reputation as a trusted partner, convener, and professional development provider, organizing a network of thousands of educators, scholars, and youth services providers across 45 states and the District of Columbia.
Fifteen years after its founding, COSEBOC planned a day of gratitude for Ron and his distinguished history as he decided to transition from the organization. It was his passion and vision that sparked its birth and growth. We salute you Ron!
