We know how important it is for family members to receive positive phone calls home from their kids’ educators. This month we want to encourage educators in our partner districts to make ONE phone call to every student’s parent/family member to help empower and encourage Black youth — and their families.
With the holidays fast approaching, this is a great chance to boost the confidence of a student in your class and/or community who has been actively engaged in school so far this year — this could be a student who has had a positive impact on the class environment or a student who has made strides in a challenging subject.
This month we’re asking educators to ensure that when a student’s family gets a phone call home about their child that it’s because they’re thriving, not for disciplinary reasons. Please help us continue to lift up the amazing youth in our communities!
